So, today is the day that we should finally hear the official line-up of Windows Phone 7 handsets, and release dates. We are already excited by the rumoured handsets - and are running a poll to find out your favourite Windows Phone 7 devices. Ahead of schedule, Samsung and LG have pipped Microsoft to the post in announcing two handsets which will appear later this year. Samsung have posted details about their Omnia 7, which boasts a 4inch Super AMOLED 800 x 480 pixel screen, 5 megapixel camera (capable of 720p video), 8 GB storage, 1 GHz processor and FM radio. LG have announced the LG Optimus 7 (E900) with a 3.8 inch 800 x 480 pixel WVGA screen, 5 megapixel camera, and 16GB memory. This device was listed on our rumours page, and was the only one to have more than the minimum 8GB memory. The HTC Mozart has also been spotted advertised in Australia as available on October 21st. The Mozart has an aluminium unibody, and sports an 8 megapixel camera, 3.7 inch TFT screen, 8GB storage and 1GHz processor. The official launch takes place at 9:30am EDT/2:30pm BST/3.30pm GMT. |
